Online Weave Mentoring

Thanks to the challenges faced by the coronavirus lockdown, like many I have been reflecting upon how to adapt my practice to these new circumstances.

Over March, April, May and June 2020, I had a significant number of weave workshops and mentoring session in my diary, all of which have had to be postponed.

In lieu of this, I began explore the potential of teaching online. After much thinking, I’ve come to the conclusion that most of the practical weave workshops in my current repertoire, remain better taught in person until I’m in a position to employ a film and editing team to help. However from talking to many in the weave community, I soon realised there was a wonderful opportunity to offer weave design and development mentoring online, thanks to the wonders of Zoom!

I’ve now been trailing this process for nearly 2 months, and its proven very successful (and so enjoyable!) so I’m now launching this formally here on my website.
