Artefact, Design Centre, Chelsea Harbour 10-15 May 2022

I’m thrilled to have been selected to exhibit some new textile wall-hangings with the Queen Elizabeth Scholarship Trust (QEST) at Artefact, Design Centre, Chelsea Harbour in London. This event is part of the wider London Craft Week taking place at many venues across the capital.

This is such a prestigious location for me to exhibit - I’ve spent many hours at the Design Centre over the years in awe of the wonderful interior textiles showcased there. This is such an huge honour.

To quote the Design Centre: ‘

‘Now in its second edition, Artefact shines a light on artisanal excellence. On show will be an array of astonishing work, including museum-quality pieces from around the globe. Attracting top designers, architects, collectors and enthusiasts, experience the joy that handmade objects can bring.

Take a voyage of discovery and gain a greater understanding of how one-of-a-kind designs are conceived and made, as well as acquire unique work to cherish for years to come. Meet leading gallerists from the vibrant craft scene and view authentic work up close from established and emerging makers and artists.

The show opens on Tuesday 10th May, and continues until Sunday 15th. I’m delighted to say that I will be on site on the 14th and 15th, demonstrating weaving on my handloom. I will also be taking part in a ‘Conversations in Craft’ panel discussion chaired by the brilliant Grant Gibson on Sunday 15th at 11.30-12.15pm. I’ll be talking about my practice alongside Bryony Applegate, Helen Brough, Jemma Gunning and Kate Rochester.
