Blanket Coverage, Oriel Davies Gallery, Newtown 09/10/21 – 24/12/21

I'm really delighted to let you know that Blanket Coverage opens on Saturday 9th October at Oriel Davies Gallery in Newtown, continuing until the 24th December 2021.

As you may remember, I curated this exhibition for Llantarnam Grange. It opened there last November and continued until the beginning of April but the covid lockdowns rather scuppered how many were able to see the show. I'm so thrilled that the exhibition will now be able to enjoyed by many more of you, in this really wonderful gallery in mid-Wales.

The exhibition runs alongside a solo exhibition by hand-weaver Steve Attwood Wright, so this is going to be an absolute weave-treat!

I'll also soon be letting you know about our planned 'Weave Weekender' at Oriel Davies, Newtown Textile Museum and Steve Attwood Wrights studio over the final weekend of October..... gallery talks, workshops, demos and a studio tour. ⠀⠀⠀

And in the New Year, the exhibition will then travel northwards up to Shetland Arts - details to follow in due course…
