This is an exciting workshop for experienced weavers already confident in designing and weaving double cloth structures on a block draft, to take their skills to the next level. You will follow a range of prepared designs, learning how to weave motifs such as triangles, circles, diamonds and other symmetrical motifs on a double cloth pointed draft. Laura will also guide you through the process of creating your own double cloth motifs with step-by-step instructions. This workshop is achievable on 8 or 16 shafts.

What to bring: Participants will be asked to bring a prepared loom according to the warping instructions. Please also bring shuttles, a notebook and pen, fabric scissors, dressmaker pins, your warp yarn and a selection of wefts.

Laura will bring: detailed handouts, a range of weft yarns for you to experiment with and a portfolio of samples for you to look at.

Suitable for intermediate and advanced weavers
