New studio....

As of the 1st January, I have a new studio. I’m so pleased to share that I have moved into a wonderful workshop next door to Ewenny Pottery and opposite Claypits Pottery just outside of Bridgend. Whilst I’ve loved occupying a town centre studio in Bridgend over the last few years, I’ve been looking out for a ground floor space that would allow me to teach and exhibit more easily, and this new studio will be perfect for that. It’s bigger and there is lots of parking right outside.

It’s also really wonderful to be next door to Ewenny Pottery, the oldest working pottery in Wales. Caitlin Jenkins is the eighth generation potter working there in her family, and records show that there has been an Ewenny pottery since 1610.

As I write this post at the end of December in lockdown once again, I’ve finished moving all my ‘stuff’, but not started unpacking. It’ll be a busy few weeks ahead, but I can’t wait to settle in. Covid-allowing, I hope to be able to open to the public once or twice a week maybe by April? It’s somewhat hard to plan at the moment, but I have plenty to keep me busy behind the scenes.
