Laura is very excited to have been chosen to produce two designs for throws and cushions as part of the exclusive Heal's Discovers 2011 collection. Woven at Melin Tregwynt in Pembrokeshire, the products will be on sale from late July.

Commission to produce a series of wall based laminated textile and glass artworks for the new Cynon Valley Hospital in Mountain Ash, South Wales. Community engagement work saw Laura teaching school children how to weave in Aberdare Town Church in Wales Primary, Abertaf Primary and Pengeulan Primary. Commission to be installed in September/October 2011.

Having won Best Maker in Wales at the inaugural Made By Hand in 2010, Laura is excited to be exhibiting there again in December 2011.

After a break in 2010 to manage other projects, Laura will be exhibiting at Origin, the London Craft Fair in Spitalfields this coming September 2011.

Laura is delighted to have been nominated and subsequently selected as a finalist for Inspire Wales Award in the Creative, Media and Culture category

Laura currently has a selection of Resonate sculptures in a showcase exhibition entitled 'Similar Threads' in the Oriel Mostyn Gallery shop, Llandudno until the end of August.

Laura's major Museumaker commission of a triptych window for The Beaney Art Gallery and Museum is due to be installed in the building in autumn 2011. The redeveloped and extended building is due to be completed and reopened in summer 2012.

As part of the Creative Wales Ambassador Award Laura continues to be in residence at Ruthin Craft Centre for around a week a month until November 2011.

Having identified a real need for business development provision for craftspeople in Wales, Laura has devised a programme of Continuing Professional Development for the Makers Guild in Wales. Held approximately once a month at Craft in the Bay, these affordable and inspiring seminars, talks and workshops are led by experts in their field.
